My 12,000-Peso Stupidity

Sometimes there are simple and easy things that I just can't do right. Depositing a check on my bank account is an example. Last week, I was so excited to get my 12,000-peso check from my former employer. That money is my bonus. However, since I am not aware of a lot of bank stuff, I made a stupid mistake.

When I went to the bank, I deposited my check to my former employer's account!!!! Instead of writing down my account number on the deposit slip, I accidentally used my former employer's account number!!! I copied the account number written on my fucking check. So I kinda returned the money to my former employer (talagang laging "former employer" haha!). It was only when I got home when I realized my stupidity. I whined all night while my ever-supportive Ate laughed at me (thank you very much!)

The day after that stupidity, I called the bank and they asked me to settle it personally. So I went (again) there to fix everything. However, when I spoke to the teller that arranged the transaction, she told me that she cannot undo it. She said that I have to speak to my former employer to ask him to create another check for me or transfer the money to my account. She was very polite and I appreciate that but I have to say that she was stupid too! On my deposit slip, I wrote my account name but different account number. She said "Akala ko kasi binabalik mo talaga yung pera". This clearly depicts that she did not check if the account name corresponded the account number. Ugh!

Instead of complaining and crying (again) I went to my former employer's office. Although I don't want to see some people in the company again, I went there and talked to the junior accountant. Buti na lang medyo mabait siya at sinabing gagawan nya ng paraan. I called him yesterday and he said that he already made the check and it's only waiting for my boss's signature. I'll call him again later to know if I can claim my check anytime this week. Sayang, wala akong pera nitong mga nakaraang bum days ko. Hmp!

Pasintabi na lang sa mga nakakita ng di ko kagandahang paa. Pero sa sobrang kaboringan sa buhay ko eh pati ang pulang nail polish ko sa paa eh napagiinteresan ko. Hehe.. Nag-resign na kasi ako sa trabaho kasama siya, siya, siya , at siya. Haha! Ang saya ng buhay. :D
