A Song and a Secret
Something happened and I thank them for featuring this song. Eyeloveit. It sums up everything.
Is it time to set you free?
Is it time to let it fly?
Is it time to let it bleed
We used to take turns
To cover up the pain
Deep below it burns
And the fellin' still remains
You're gonna find someone new
I really hope you do
'Cause I love you
And the sun will come on thru,
It's gonna shine for you
'Cause I adore you
Yes we gave it a try
But maybe for too long
Out of every sorrow
Another day will dawn
I really hope you do
'Cause I love you
And the sun will come on thru,
It's gonna shine for you
'Cause I adore you
And the road travels on
But I'm still near you
In my life, like a song
I will still hear you
Still
Sun will shine for you
'Cause I adore you...

With my long-time-no-see blocmates
The last time I saw Kitin and Tin was during our graduation two years ago.
The last time I saw Leah was during Yen's bday (March '08)
The last time I saw April was during Yen's bday (March '08)
The last time I saw Merdeka was when she applied in Intellicrap more than a year ago.
Unlike Ja, Yen, and Bard, I don't get to see these people that often so I'm happy that we hooked up.
Food, chika, fun. :)

I Don't Look for Chikas. Chikas Come to Me
And it's true.
Sometimes I get to know a lot of gossips without even asking my friends or acquaintances about the latest chikas about our common friends.
And there are also instances when I get to connect a few of my new co-workers' verbatims and gestures to learn about some issues here in the office. (So when they share some chika to me I just pretend that I don't know anything.Hehe)
I have heard more than once that I am some sort of a chika queen or gossiper. I find that remark quite offensive because the truth is--
1) people like sharing chikas to me -- meaning I DON'T ALWAYS scout for chismis, people TELL me (and it does not follow that I tell what I know to everyone I bumped into);
2) I sometimes learn about chikas accidentally -- eg. careless or akala-mo-hindi-mahahalata posts on friendster, multiply, and blogs; and
3) if ever I ask people about the latest happenings to other people eh that's not totally being a chismosa, that's more of being inquisitive. Haha!
So why am I saying this? It's because I had this terrible/funny experience about gossip yesterday. This involves two former classmates of mine. Let's call them Classmate 1 and Classmate 2.
Classmate 1 and I went to the same elementary and high schools.
Classmate 2 was my classmate in college who happens to be the officemate of Classmate 1
I received an FS message from Classmate 1 saying something like:
My reply was really long. Maybe because it was still early and my brain cells were far from dying that time. But here are the main ideas of my reply:
1. I learned that Classmate 1 has a child already through our recently concluded reunion which she missed.
2. Yes, I told Classmate 2 about it. Why? Because:
a. Is that a secret ba? (If it is, well hindi ako aware)
b. Classmate 2 said that Classmate 1 is getting married na so I associated the fact (or rumor) that Classmate 1 is a mom na so she will walk down the isle.
3. I said sorry if talking to Classmate 2 caused Classmate 1 any trouble (even though I was the only person who was shocked when one of our classmates said that Classmate 1 gave birth na -- it means that I was the last to know, no!).
When I said that, Classmate 1 immediately replied and she DENIED that she has given birth na. She confirmed, though, that she's getting married but NOT because she got sperminated. (It's because she and her future hubby love each other.Yeah right..)
But since I am inquisitive (hehe), I investigated if what she's telling is true. I checked her FS page and looked for evidences.
Exhibit A is comprised of several pictures of a baby or babies. The caption of one photo says that the baby is her pamangkin. Since almost all Filipino babies look a like, I couldn't tell if it's the same baby in the other photos.
So Exhibit A is weak.
But I have Exhibit B.
Exhibit B is Classmate 1's friend in FS saying, "Mare, nanganak u na ba?
There you go. I don't think the message was a joke. And if my memory serves me right (and if I can consider it as Exhibit C), long before that reunion I already learned --I just can't recall how-- that she was preggy. If the "rumor" is true, why is she denying it...
I talked to Classmate 2 and she told me more info about Classmate 1. I will not share them to you baka may chika nanaman na mabuo. Haha.
So what's the moral lesson of my story (kung meron man)?

Messy Essays
I was asked by my ate to help her check some essays of her grade 7 pupils last weekend. The essay was about the changes that had happened to the kids.
Here are some of the highlights:
"Changes improves our life.."
"My aunt suffered from cancer (I think) for 15 years (I'm sure)."
"I started to become a toddler when I am 11 months."
"My changes is/are my teeth. Before they are small and they fall out now they are big and complete."
"I was smaller when I was in preschool. Now 5"2 is my height."
Sakit sa ulo.
Oh, and congrats to Money Pacquiao. You're a history na Pacman.
