Elementary Reunion v. 2.0

It was the second reunion for this year. Did we miss each other much? Well, not really. Haha. Patrick requested for this gathering saying he's leaving the country (but he denied that making me the most stupid person on Earth for believing him). --> update: Hey, he did leave the country. He's in Singapore. How sushal of him!

After dinner at Giligan's (Trinoma), I planned to go home na kasi di ako nagpaalam na male-late umuwi. But because they are soooo makulit, ayun nakaladkad ako. At nasermonan ng tatay ko through text. We went to Club Dredd to check out some bands.

enjoying the music in the corner

i forget the band's name..sorry. but i noticed that the vocalist sounded like the guy from She Wants Revenge

christopher and april

patrick and janice

Then we went to Something Fishy for breakfast (1 amish) but I didn't eat. All I wanted was water because the beer made me dehydrated.
with peter and april

After coffee and non-stop chika, they sent me home na. They ended up having breakfast (again) at Deo's place. The night was so fun!

This is me thinking, "where's our next stop, classmates?"

Your Universe

I used to have a HUGE crush on Rico Blanco. And now that he's back (after leaving Rivermaya and doing some "soul searching"), this is what he got. Splendid. Crush ko na ulit siya. Haha!

What I learned from my Ate

Haha!

May: Ganun ba? O sige, paalam!
A: Anong paalam?

***

Word: Flower girl
Meaning: Yung nagma-march sa kasal

M: Ate ako rin ba magiging flower vase?
A: Ano?!
M: Eh di ba aattend tayo sa kasal tapos ikaw daw flower vase. Ako rin flower vase?
A: Tanga! Flower girl!

***

Word/Phrase: Shut up
Meaning: be quiet

Papa: *sermon* *sermon*
Ate: Shut up!!!

I Bought a Pair of Fake Havaianas

I do not patronize fake items. Even if they look exactly like the real ones, I'd rather buy local or not-so-popular, not-so-expensive stuff than to own imitations. But today is an exception. I bought a pair of fake Havaianas flip-flops for only P100. Why? Read on.

I was at the MRT station when someone stepped on my white sandals. I knew it was a huge man or woman who stepped on my footwear because I kinda felt his/her huge foot touching the ankle part of my right foot. And I know that that person has to be big because the impact almost tore the sandal's strap.

When I looked behind me to castigate the perpetrator, he/she/it was gone! I couldn't pinpoint who among the fast-walking people did it. "Not again!" I thought. This is not the first time that it happened to me. Jaja knows that. But since the suspect of the shoe crime was gone, I had no choice but to pick up my sandal and stay in a corner to inspect the poor thing. The damage was not that bad. I could still use it but I have to walk like I sprained my foot or something. I thought of some solutions. I knew that it's much better to face this kind of thing with sense of poise and rationality.

Since I was at North Avenue Station, I thought of waiting for Trinoma to open and buy a new pair of footwear. The downside of it is I'll be late for work. I also thought of taking a cab to go to the office. However, my expenses would double because of the fare and me buying a new pair of sandals.

Before I could think of another solution, I saw my former officemate Kay. I told her my story and she convinced me to use my almost useless sandals and buy a new pair of footwear when I get to EDSA Central Mall. So despite my I-sprained-my-foot walk, I took the MRT with her. Thank God for her presence and chikas the train ride became fun.

When I reached EDSA Central Mall, the shops were still closed. What I saw were stalls that sell women's outfits in a lobby that connects the mall and the MRT Shaw station. I saw a lady selling fake Havaianas flip-flops and other sandals and that's how I owned a pair of 100-peso Havs imitation. It's a good thing that I work in a creative office so I can wear slippers.

I'm going to Mega Mall or Shangri-La later to have my sandals fixed at Mr. Quickie. I hope Mr. Quickie is really quick. In fairness, the fake Havs are comfy. Haha!
